October 4th, 10am-4pmThe Austin Family Music Festival is back and it’s "music to our ears"! The Third Annual AFMF, held at Austin’s historic Pioneer Farms, features performances by family-friendly entertainers like popular recording artists, Kelly Willis and Bruce Robison, the Emmy Award winning Biscuit Brothers, "Mr. Steve" current national host of PBS Kids!, and Super Pal Universe. It’s also an opportunity for kids to experience music up close and personal. From a marching band clashing its cymbals as it struts by to feeling the beat of Taiko drums up through your feet, this is a festival that "beats to a different drum"! Visitors can ride on a musical hayride down a tree-lined path past friendly horses and cows, and hear a live mariachi band, a brass quintet, and a bagpipe player (over yonder down the road).
Other special features include an appearance by PBS' Clifford the Big Red Dog, games, concessions, and activities for the whole family! We hear Old MacDonald opens up his magic, musical farm just once a year, so don't miss your chance to experience a musical day like no other and explore the working farm where they shoot The Biscuit Brothers show!
Proceeds from the Austin Family Music Festival directly benefit Pioneer Farms, a registered Austin Historic Landmark, and the Biscuit Brothers Children's Television Project which provides free television programming to PBS stations throughout Texas.
