Julia’s Garden, offering in-home parent consultations and on-site hourly child care, has added enrichment classes to its already wide range of parent and family services. They are now now offering drop-off classes for your budding artist conveniently located in the heart of Clarkesville and taught by trained and experienced professionals. "Flower Child" offers preschoolers low teacher-student ratios in a fun studio space backed with Montessori values and a calming teaching philosophy to meet the sensitivities of children's needs. Flower Child art and music classes are a great way to introduce a first-timer into group school activities or they can be a creative complement to your morning preschooler's day. The schedule is as follows:
Art and Music:
Tuesdays, 3:30-5:00pm
Art is taught by AMI Trained Montessori
teacher, Katherine Parlette, M.Ed., who also holds a bachelor's degree in Studio Art.
Music on Tuesdays is taught by budding violinist and guitarist, John Clement, father of two, and former Montessori teacher. His ease with children and ability to connect with the very young brings a fresh and sensitive edge to this class. A snack is provided.
Music and Movement:
Thursdays, 2:30-4:00pm
This class is geared towards the younger child and incorporates movement and music to ease transitions.
The music lesson is taught by esteemed composer of children's tunes and local musician, Neal Kassanoff. His work with early preschoolers is known and acclaimed throughout the Austin community. A snack is provided.
Pricing:
$140.00 for one class per month
$280.00 for two classes per month
$35 one time registration fee due at sign up
Now enrolling 18 months - 6 years for the
Spring Semester.
