The Wonder Ball
Young girls and their fathers will spend a magical evening in a Royal Court as Wonders & Worries presents the second annual Wonder Ball on Saturday, May 9, from 6 – 9 p.m. at the Palmer Events Center The special event for girls and their fathers, grandfathers or father figures is a fund raiser for Wonders & Worries, a unique organization that helps children in central Texas cope when a parent has a serious illness such as cancer. Families can Purchase tickets for $100. Each ticket includes admission for a father/father figure and up to 3 daughters, professional photograph, parking, and a tiara for the girls. Baby Day at Alamo Draft House
The Alamo Drafthouse understands that it is hard for new parents to get out for an evening on the town. That is why they offer Baby Day, for regular shows that start before 2:05pm, on Tuesday and Friday afternoons. Infants are welcome to these shows, and of course, are allowed in for free. For baby day shows, they keep the lights up a bit, and the sound down a bit. Please note: Baby Day is Tuesday and Friday at Village and only Tuesdays at Alamo Lamar. Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, 2700 W.
